Why Verification Comes Before Payment
On a premium car the value lives in specifics — the exact options fitted and the honesty of the history. A Genesis with ventilated seats, a head-up display, and a clean one-owner record is a very different asset from a similar-looking car missing those boxes or hiding a repaired accident. Because those differences are easy to misstate and expensive to discover late, we verify everything before a client pays, never after. The sequence is deliberate: we confirm, we document, we present, and only then do we ask for funds. A discerning buyer should never wire money against a listing's promises — they should pay against verified fact.
Confirming the Factory Build
Every car has a factory specification, and we use it as the master list against which the real vehicle is checked. Rather than trusting a seller's description, we walk the car and confirm each significant option physically: ventilated and heated seats operating, the head-up display projecting, surround cameras rendering correctly, adaptive cruise and lane systems present, and the premium audio installed as claimed. Trim materials, wheel sizes, and sunroof type are checked against the build. Where a listed option is absent or non-functional, we record it and adjust the price or pass on the car. The aim is that the spec sheet we send you matches the metal exactly.
Testing That Features Actually Work
Premium cars hide expensive faults behind screens, so confirming a feature exists is not enough — it must function. We power up and test the electronics individually: the digital cluster and infotainment, heated steering, the cameras and parking sensors, the climate system, and every seat function. On hybrids we assess the high-voltage system's state of health rather than assuming it. A non-working ventilated seat or a glitching camera module is a real cost in the destination market, and discovering it on arrival is the worst possible moment. By testing in Seoul, we turn nasty surprises into either a fair price adjustment or a decision to walk away.
Reading the Service History
Service history is where a premium car's true story emerges. We gather the available record — dealer stamps, maintenance receipts, and inspection documents — and read it for coherence rather than just presence. Regular servicing at sensible intervals, consistent with the mileage, signals a cared-for car; gaps, jumps, or work that does not fit the odometer signal questions. We look for major items: timing-related service, transmission and brake work, and any repair that hints at a larger event. A clean, continuous history justifies a premium because it removes risk. A patchy one is not automatically disqualifying, but it changes the price and we say so plainly.
Cross-Checking the Odometer
Mileage claims must survive scrutiny, so we never take a displayed figure at face value. We cross-reference the odometer against service stamps, statutory inspection records, and the physical wear of the car — the steering wheel, pedal rubbers, seat bolsters, and gear selector all tell on a clock that has been wound back. When the evidence agrees, low mileage is credible and valuable. When it does not, the car is rejected regardless of how clean it otherwise looks, because a falsified odometer poisons everything else about the purchase. This single check protects clients from the most damaging and most common form of premium-car misrepresentation.
The Dossier You Receive
All of this verification produces something tangible: a dossier delivered before you pay. It includes the confirmed build specification, the history report, our inspection and feature-test notes, the odometer cross-check, and a full photo set covering paint readings, interior wear, tyres, and any blemishes.
