Start with the model and your port

Importing is easier when you start from two facts: the exact model you want and the destination port. Korean stock is deep in Hyundai, Kia and Genesis, so tell your exporter the model, year range and budget, and confirm the nearest port — it decides freight and timeline.

Always get the inspection pack first

Never pay a deposit before you see the exact unit. Ask for exterior, interior, engine-bay, underbody and odometer photos plus a short driving video. A realistic inspection score with the flaws listed is more trustworthy than a "perfect" car.

Pay against documents, not promises

Reputable exporters do not take online card payments. You pay by bank transfer against a commercial invoice, with the balance due against shipping documents. You should receive the export (de-registration) certificate and the Bill of Lading.

Choose RoRo or container, then track

RoRo is usually cheapest for a single running car to a major port; a container protects premium units and lets dealers consolidate several cars. Once booked, you get the B/L and vessel tracking until arrival.
